QUEZON CITY, November 8, 2017–National faith-based organizations (FBO) started laying out collaborative initiatives for Marawi City that has recently been liberated from a 5-month conflict.

The Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines – National Secretariat for Social Action (CBCP-NASSA), the National Council of Churches in the Philippines (NCCP) and the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) met on Wednesday in Quezon City in view of coordinating efforts towards helping rehabilitate Marawi City and rebuild the lives of Meranaws.

Present during the meeting were Vaughn Geuseppe Alviar of Iglesia Filipina Independiente; Sylwyn Sheen Alba of the National Council of Churches of the Philippines (NCCP); Lanie B. Samonte of NASSA Caritas Phils; and Bennette Grace Mañulit and Bernarfita Amor of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC).

On November 14, 2017 a coordination meeting of all FBOs will be held in Iligan City in order to asses and finalize a coordinated intervention programs for the Marawi Rehabilitation.
